WELCOME TO MY PHOTOGRAPHY PAGES

Since the beginning of times, humans have tried to depict their surroundings. The caves of Altamira in Spain and many others all around the world, including the aboriginal mountain art in Australia demonstrate it quite palpably.

As technology developed, so it did in the department of art.
The first known permanent photograph was an image produced in 1826 by the French inventor Joseph Nicephore Niepce.(Wikipedia). The cameras that ensued were huge and cumbersome. The movie camera Bolex, from the middle of last century (1950 or whereabouts) weighed more than one pound.

Photography evolved rapidly and today less than 200 years later, you can obtain three dimensional photographs in a simple device that not only serves as camera but as phone and entertainment center.

The art of photography lies not only in the reproduction of the object, but in making it the means to transmit to the observer modes and emotions.

I learned to love photography in my very early years. My father was a great afficionado, and by the end of his life he had accumulated more than two thousand photographs including art, nature and medicine

I am not one of those that can do it, but still I endeavor to transmit the beauty I have seen. I hope you like them
